The Opportunity
We’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced candidates to join our supportive and well-established Masterplanning Team. We're on the lookout for someone to support with residential led strategic site promotions, Outline Planning Applications, through to Reserved Matters and detailed planning schemes.
We are looking to recruit one Graduate Masterplanner at our Cardiff Office and one at our Cirencester office.
The Role
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and highly organised team player with a sound knowledge of urban design and a genuine interest in the environment and placemaking. The role will include assisting in the production of all typical masterplanning services, including feasibility appraisals; concept, illustrative and detailed masterplan schemes; site promotion and preparing Vision Documents; preparation of residential planning application packages and producing Design and Access Statements along with Design Codes.
Our masterplanning approach is environmentally led with a strong focus on innovative green infrastructure planning and design. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills by working closely with our existing team of experienced masterplanners and urban designers and learning directly from the other core environmental disciplines within the company. The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our exceptional Business Support Team. This is a varied and fast-paced full-time role (37.5 hours per week over 5 days) working flexibly between the office and from home.
The Role
Building relationships with the EDP Team is crucial in this role. Trust is essential, and it is achieved by offering sound advice, fostering relationships, demonstrating excellent attention to detail, and communicating exceptionally well. Delivering professional outcomes and solutions involves influencing and engaging with Team Members effectively. Your advice should be comprehensive, considering all options to achieve the desired outcomes. You must provide excellent Client Care to external clients and EDP Team Members to ensure they receive a first-class service with any financial related matters.
You will be commercially minded, working for the business as well as the EDP Team, living up to and championing The EDP Way. You will serve as the Line Manager to 3 Finance Assistants, coaching, mentoring, and sharing your knowledge. Additionally, you will facilitate training and development opportunities for the wider Finance Team to enhance their skills and promote career growth.
You will proactively propose new finance initiatives, improvements, and best practices for the finance function to consider, and you will collaborate with the Finance Team to implement these ideas. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day workloads for yourself and the Finance Assistants to ensure these align with the wider finance function, working with the Financial Controller and the Finance & Commercial Director.
You will be positive, proactive, solution focussed and knowledgeable and be committed to maintaining your expertise through internal and external training and research.
A clear understanding of and adherence to financial processes (sales ledger, purchase ledger, expenses etc.) and assistance in preparing the monthly management accounts and year-end audit requirements. You will also have a good knowledge of the statutory requirements in the following areas: annual accounts, VAT, PAYE/NI and accounting principles.
You will adhere to EDP’s policies and processes whilst championing EDP’s culture (The EDP Way), our mission and values.
Competence in Sage Line 50 (or similar) Microsoft Office, LINK (in house training to be provided), and a desire to strengthen the role of finance within EDP’s project management process (quote/instruction/invoicing).

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an HSEQ Advisor to join our exceptional Business Support Team. This is a varied, fast paced, and integral office role with some flexibility of hybrid working. The Role

HSEQ sits in the Business Support function, where exceptional client care is expected to support the Consultants and wider EDP team. Workload is extensive and at times reactive, but there are business as usual activities which run on regular weekly, monthly, yearly cycles.

The Role
Benefiting from working in a multidisciplinary consultancy team, you will provide sound ecological advice and project support to Project Managers across a range of projects which vary in size, types and complexities.
You will be positive, proactive and solution focussed, have demonstrable experience of environmental consultancy, and be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment. You will be effective at working on your own and as part of a 30+ strong ecology team located across our three offices.
