Outline consent was granted at appeal in February 2011, and subsequently EDP supported Bellway Homes Wales & West with their detailed application to Tewkesbury Borough Council that was approved in February 2014, for the erection of 199 dwellings, including provision of a cricket pitch and pavilion, other associated public open space and associated highway works.

A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) protects a number of trees across the site, and EDP undertook a BS5837:2012 compliant tree survey, providing tree constraints, arboricultural impact assessment and arboricultural method statement to support the detailed application. Once work had commenced on site further Arboricultural Clerk of Work (ACW) site visits were undertaken to provide advice on positioning of fencing and hand-dig and no-dig techniques.

Finally, a post-construction arboricultural condition survey was undertaken to make recommendations for any tree works required prior to the formal open spaces being adopted by the management company.
