assistant arboricultural consultant


We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Arboriculturist to join our multi-disciplinary, friendly and supportive team based in our Cirencester or Cheltenham office.


If successful your main responsibilities would be:


  • to undertake tree surveys tailored to suit a variety of end uses;
  • to assist in the preparation of associated written reports including arboricultural impact assessments, method statements and tree condition reports; and
  • to provide arboricultural advice to both internal and external clients on development related projects.


This role would suit someone looking to progress their career in arboriculture into the consultancy side of the profession, you would be mentored by senior members of the team to develop high quality report writing skills and clear and concise communication skills.


You will have an awareness of trees in relation to development (BS5837:2012), Tree Preservation Orders, visual tree assessment, tree hazard awareness and management recommendations.


Applicants should, as a minimum, hold the equivalent to QCF Level 4 (cert) in Arboriculture and preferably be a member of the ICF, AA or ISA. Applicants should also be computer literate and capable of using the Microsoft Office suite of software and have an awareness of digital data collection methods.


In addition to the right qualifications and experience you will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be personable, innovative and proactive. You will be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
