Green & Blue Infrastructure

How do we make the case for green infrastructure to be a mainstream element in planning policy decisions? Green infrastructure supports not only nature in the built environment with the many environmental and economic benefits this brings, but is a central element in placemaking supporting community cohesion and social well-being. This session explores the issues and explains various tools that can support a more central planning role for green infrastructure – should there be a certified standard for tools? Which tool should be used and when? Is it one tool or a combination? What is the process on a project basis?
