EDP Strengthens its Leadership Team

We are delighted to announce the appointment of four new Directors, strengthening significantly the leadership team as part of EDP’s commitment to sustainable growth and succession planning.

The new Directors have all held important roles and been a major part of EDP’s evolution in recent years. Their Directorships help secure a stable platform for the business in the years ahead.

Congratulations to:

Gerard Dore BSc(Hons) M.Arbor. A, C.Env

Gerard joined EDP as a Principal Arboriculturist in late 2010. He set up the new Shrewsbury office at Sansaw Business Park in October 2015 and has since grown the team and the regional client base significantly. The Shrewsbury office is currently 15 strong and growing. As well as leading the Shrewsbury Office, Gerard is also EDP Technical Lead for all things arboricultural.

Christina Hinder

Christina also joined EDP in late 2010, initially as Practice Manager in Cirencester, before moving into an increasingly strategic role as Head of HR and Operations for all the EDP offices. Christina has been instrumental in setting up a robust health and safety system, building up EDP’s group services and IT infrastructure to keep pace with the EDP’s rapid growth over the last ten years. She was also influential in EDP achieving ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for its quality management system, guiding the team through the challenges of the new standards. She is an indispensable part of what makes EDP tick.

Fiona McKenzie MA(Cantab), MA, CMLI, AIEMA, M.Arbor.A

Fiona joined EDP just over three years ago, having already established an excellent professional reputation and client base, and with the experience of growing a multi-disciplinary consultant team for Waterman in Bristol. She has longstanding ties with some of EDP’s Directors that go back many years having worked extensively with Duncan, Ben and Andrew. Not surprisingly then, Fiona has hit the ground running and is regularly winning and managing some of EDP’s most significant projects, whilst coordinating EDP’s marketing efforts.

Charles Mylchreest BA(Hons), DipLA, CMLI, AIEMA

Charles (Charlie) joined EDP as a Principal Landscape Architect in 2011. Like Ben, Dai, and Gerard he is another example of EDP’s belief in growing leadership potential from within the business. He played a vital role in EDP’s entry into the onshore wind, solar and energy distribution markets. Since then, Charlie has built up an impressive portfolio of projects and clients in EDP’s more traditional sectors. He leads the landscape team as its Technical Lead across all our offices.

All four new Directors embody EDP’s commitment to a long-term succession strategy that ensures EDP remains proudly owner-managed.
